X-Grid: Unlimited Capabilities

Over the past few months we’ve been working hard to keep our blog up to date with regular informative articles and case studies so that you can see exactly how our products are used.

If you’re a regular reader, you may remember seeing a post at the beginning of May which detailed 10 ways that X-Grid could be used in and around domestic and commercial properties. Now, those ten applications are by no means the limits of X-Grid’s capabilities, in fact we managed to reel them off pretty quickly when it came to it. However, it seems that we’re not the only experts in innovation and although we might know our stuff when it comes to our products, you guys have other ideas and seem to be using them.

 As Seen on TV

Recently, we’ve fixed up quite a few high profile clients with a number of products for a number of seemingly normal applications. We’ve already told you about the ITV/ Good Morning Britain Tough Mums event which was designed by Tough Mudder.

Then there was also the RSPCA who have had rubber grass mats from us on more than one for eight of their preservation sites; any of you with children will likely be all too aware of the CBBC programme, The Dumping Ground, well we also supplied them with rubber grass mats on a number of occasions so that they could create a wheelchair access route for a disabled actor; even the National Trust have purchased a variety of products from us on numerous occasions. However, despite all the high profile names in our client data base (of which those mentioned are only a few), it was the Nottinghamshire County Sailing Club that surprised us the most.

Now, as mentioned above, we’re pretty savvy when it comes to the endless lists of applications our products are capable of, but even we have to hand it to Notts County because they used some of our ground protecting, weed prevention fabric, for something we’d never even thought of.

Notts County contacted us when the river they used to train on was becoming infested by weeds preventing them from achieving optimal sailing conditions. So, in a bid to improve conditions, the river was professionally de-weeded and they used our weed prevention fabric to prevent the issue from arising again. This may sound like a simple and obvious solution but it actually required a professional diving team to drag the fabric along the river bed and secure it properly into place to prevent the growth of future weeds.

We love to hear stories of how you use our products – they don’t have to be as imaginative as Notts County Sailing Club – and see your pictures of your own transformations. If you have any stories or pictures you’d like to share, please get in touch and you could be the feature of our next blog post or case study.
