Strong, durable, weather and chemical resistant, these are just a few of the properties of X-Grid porous paving grids. Able to withstand compression of over 420 tonnes per square metre, these grids are suitable for grassed and gravelled areas that need to endure pressure from all manner of transportation, from pedestrians and wheelchairs to cars, emergency vehicles and HGVs.
Perhaps the most popular use for X-Grid pavers is on driveways, carparks and pathways. These are all areas that are put under a lot of pressure and without any kind of reinforcement would almost certainly suffer considerable, perhaps irreparable, damage.
The strength of these paving grids is complimented by the fact that they’re fully compliant with water management laws and planning regulations; they allow water to flow freely through and around them, considerably reducing the risk of flooding. The fact that they leave nature at work to drain water naturally also means they’re a great, affordable alternative to tarmac.
X-Grid pavers come in a choice of three colours – white: for those looking for a discreet reinforcement solutions, green: for those not wishing to take the focus away from the natural surroundings and black: for those wishing to make an eye-catching statement – and multiple pack sizes to ensure projects of all sizes are catered for.
These porous paving grids are suitable for use with gravel or grass. Simply connect and lay the grids in the area you wish to cover and fill with either gravel (approximately 72kg per square metre is recommended) or top soil and grass seed – if you choose to fill with grass seed remember to water regularly.
Thanks to the grids’ discreet design, if you opt for a grass filling, once it’s been given the time to grow through you won’t even see them. If you’re after the same discreet appearance with a gravel filling then we’d recommend opting for the white X-Grid option.
